Christian meditation is essentially a way of desire. One does not try to reach any particular state but instead to stir up fervour for the Almighty and a life of fullness. Love is at the centre of the practice, love being the only way to open hearts for a renewed life. In order to grow in the Presence, silence is required. Retreats facilitated by Fabrice Blée in Champboisé since 2007 are held in this spirit based on the urgent desire of letting ourselves be moved by the breath of Life.
- 7-day silent retreat in French (August 9-16, 2020)
This 7-day silent retreat is inspired by the teachings of the Desert Mothers and Fathers, these men and women at the origin of the Christian contemplative tradition. Participants are free to meditate using their own regular practice (Christian meditation, Centering Prayer, etc.). This retreat offers a space to deepen interior silence, opening us to more transparency to the divine Presence.
In the evening, there is a talk where sharing is encouraged. All participants are encouraged to meet the facilitator at least three times during the week. The retreat is open to all, even those without meditation experience. What is of utmost importance is the motivation and quest for silence of the heart. |
